ICELAND A DIFFERENT ADVENTURE

DAY 1: A WARM WELCOME

Arrival at the International airport in Keflavík.
On our way to Reykjavík we stop at the Blue Lagoon.
The Blue Lagoon is Iceland's most unique and popular attraction. Guests enjoy bathing and relaxing in Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater, known for its positive effects on the skin. A visit to the spa promotes harmony between body, mind and spirit, and enables one to soak away the stresses of modern life.
Accommodation: 4 star Hotel in Reykjavík
Evening: Dinner at Restaurant Einar Ben, specializing in an international cuisine with an Icelandic touch.
 

DAY 2: THE HIGLIGHTS OF SOUTH ICELAND

Departure on the second day, for a drive to the south coast of Iceland.
Our adventure for the next two days will be in a 4WD Super jeeps with professional driver-guides. Guests will discover many highlights of the south, such as cave exploring in the lava field, growing of  bananas in the greenhouses and a treasure hunt on the way to the beautiful Þórsmörk valley nestled between three glaciers, Mýrdalsjökull glacier Eyjafajallajökull glacier and Tindafjalljökull glacier. Many marked walking paths are around Þórsmörk where it is nice to do some hiking before returning to the mountain hut for a “Barbeque“ dinner in this very special remote place in Iceland.
Accommodation: Sleeping bag accommodation in the mountain hut.

DAY 3: THE GLACIER ADVENTURE

Breakfast in the mountain hut.
A drive to the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and in less than an hour arrival at Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Iceland's fourth largest glacier. From there the tour continues, along a mountain track up to snow level to enjoy the incredible views and go for a quick spin on a snow-scooter (1 hour) or a blue ice glacier walk. On the way back a drive on black sandy beaches and an opportunity to admire the beauty and power of the North Atlantic Ocean. Outdoor lunch on the beach. Last but not least, a photostop at the picturesque waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss where the brave ones can take a walk behind the waterfall as it falls from the cliffs.
Return to Reykjavík, overnight in 4 star hotel in Reykjavík
Dinner: In the newly opened restaurant Gullfoss, where they serve Icelandic food in a fusion way.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE

Departure transfer, with private coach and guide from the hotel.

During other months depending on roads and weather conditions.
