Reykjavík and the classic sites

DAY 1:

Arrival at the International airport in Keflavík.
On our way to Reykjavík the tour stops at the Blue Lagoon.
The Blue Lagoon is Iceland's most unique and popular attraction. Guests enjoy bathing and relaxing in Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater, known for its positive effects on the skin. A visit to the spa promotes harmony between body, mind and spirit, and enables one to soak away the stresses of modern life.

Evening: Dinner at Restaurant Einar Ben, specializing in an international cuisine with an Icelandic touch.

DAY 2: ENJOY THE CITY

Reykjavík City Sightseeing, visiting some highlights in the capital.
Reykjavík, Iceland´s glittering capital, is home to about 180.000 inhabitants.
It is the most northerly capital and has during the past century grown from a provincial trading post to a bustling cosmopolitan destination. Rekjavík is young, lively and entertaining city with lot of interesting museums, galleries and delightful restaurants and cafés where one can sample exotic Icelandic dishes or international cuisine.
Among the highlights in the city is The National museum, the Hallgrimskirka church Höfði mansion, Alþingi or the Parliament, City Hall, the fishing harbour and The Pearl, an observatory with fantastic panorama of the city. The thermal swimming pools are worth dipping into before returning to the hotel.

Evening: Dinner at the Lækjarbrekka restaurant in one of the most antique houses in the centre of the old town. Thoroughly Icelandic with a cosy atmosphere.

DAY 3: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Full day tour out of the city which will give you an insight into the creation of our island and how we utilize its renewable resources for our well-being. Then onwards for a visit to some of the  most famous spots in Iceland, Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss the golden waterfall and Geysir the geothermal area. Þingvellir National Park is the original site of the oldest existing parliamnet in the world. Gullfoss the golden watarfall is the queen of Iceland´s waterfall and Geysir area is a geothermal field where hot springs explode and pools of mud bubble. 
 
Dinner on our way back to Reykjavík in the lobster restaurant Vid Fjörubordid, where the guests will enjoy a lobster feast in a  rough surroundings by the black sandy beach.

DAY: DEPARTURE

Departure with private coach and guide from the hotel.
